higher living without the high

Hemp Kitchen in St Kilda, Melbourne is a first for Australia.

A brunch haven nestled in sunny St. Kilda with a modern Italian twist by night, Hemp Kitchen is the first hemp-based restaurant in Victoria.

At Hemp Kitchen, we tap into the superfood’s exciting potential while reintroducing delicacies that food intolerances have chased out of your diet. In doing so, we have designed an innovative gluten free menu with a range of vegetarian, vegan and dairy free meals.

The Difference between Hemp and Marijuana

The main difference between the two is in its chemical composition, specifically in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is the chemical responsible marijuana’s psychological effects. An average batch of marijuana contains anywhere from 5-20% THC content. Hemp, on the other hand, has a maximum THC level of 0.3%, essentially making it impossible to feel any psychoactive effect or get a “high”.
